Islam about abortion

The woman pregnant less than 40 days from her legal (according to Islam) husband can do abortion and it is not a sin, but it is the shame. But if she is pregnant more than 40 days, then abortions are sins.

But abortion being pregnant less than 40 days is not always allowed and it must have serious reasons. The main three conditions are the agreement of the mother, the agreement of the father and the permission of the doctor that confirms that abortion won't bring any harm to the woman.

If one of these three conditions is not followed then abortion is the sin and this sin will become worse and worse with every day of the mother.

The doctor who helped a woman to do abortion has the same sin as a woman who did it. Even if parents agreed on doing abortion, doctor still has the responsibility for killing the baby.

If pregnancy threatens the life of the woman and the child, it is allowed to do abortion before the embryo starts to move, in other words till 120th day of pregnancy.

If there are difficulties during giving birth and doctors have to choose whom to save the mother or the child, doctors should save the person who has more chances to survive. According to shariah woman must be saved first.
